It might be helpful (although strange) to realize that having a high Prolactin level mimics pregnancy in many ways.  Weight gain, loosening joints/muscles, fatigue, mental "foginess", decreased sex drive etc. are symptoms associated with pregnancy that are caused in part by the increased prolactin levels at that time.  So yes, it very "normal" to gain weight with a prolactinoma.
