First of all, I am constantly checking these boards and have learned a lot- thank you.  I do have lots of questions though.  I have a microadenoma (prolactinoma) and am currently on dostinex after a break.  I stopped taking dostinex for a few months because my periods were unbearably heavy and painful, which may not have been such a smart idea on my part.  I was also in the process of finding a new doc because I had moved, excuses excuses.
I found a new doc, my prolactin level shot up again & am set to have another MRI in April.  It has been about 3 months since I started the meds again and the pain is back!  Does anyone else experience these pains during their period and have any suggestions for relief?  I am addicted to aleve but it doesn't seem to help.  My gyn was no help.
Obviously, the main goal is to keep the prolactin level down but do I have to go through hell every month to do it?
Does the tumor eventually go away if meds are taken over a long period of time?  I took dostinex previously for about a year and my tumor shrank only 20%.
My list of questions just seem to snowball, sorry.
Thanks,
CC
