Just diagnosed with a Prolactinoma

Hello, I am new to this and almost 34 yrs old and just diagnosed with a 3 cm prolactinoma 8/20/04. It was found do to severe sinus infections and through a CT and MRI it was discovered completly by accident. After seeing a specialist and doing blood work they discovered my Prolactin level to be 1504. No wonder I haven't felt very good. I just want to thank all of the people who use this and share their information because I don't feel so alone now. My doctor has only seen 2 cases in over 13 years. Just reading these postings has helped me to see that the pain and emotions that I have been having are normal. I just wanted to say thank you. I am taking Parlodel to see if I can handle it and so far I am doing ok. My endo wants to try to shrink it. I will be having blood work done at the end of September to see if there are any change in my levels. My prayers go out to all of you and I do appreciate the support. Melissa |
