I know with me, in the days gone by, the endocrinologist was interested in what I did have: Moles Hair loss Weight gain Acne Migraines Oily Skin Swelling (rings don't fit, shoes tight) abnormal hair growth - arms legs wounds slow to heal hypertension and with that, he decided to do some base testing... growth hormone prolactin cortisol thyroid panel LH:FSH testosterone and did some stimulation testing thyroid growth hormone (glucose tolerance test) acth and later did a 24 hr urine free cortisol test and later did some suppression testing dex suppression test and... he did a MRI that showed a pituitary tumor. So... after all that, with a metabolic blood panel that was completely normal... he began to suspect... That I had Cushings.. and didn't look like it.
