You have time to interview the doctors and decide which one you prefer manage your care.
 
"Non-functioning" is kind of a misnomer. If the surgeon isn't skilled at the surgery (20 or more pituitary surgeries a year), your chance for complications increases.
 
A few weeks between appointments really isn't a long wait. It will give you time to consider what the specialist says, possibly talk after your appt with the doctor (if you have additional questions), read, reflect, and consider the best option for you.
 
This is all about you. You have time to check things out. That gut feeling is that way because you need to find out.  You need to be comfortable with your decision.
 
Yes, it should be taken care of, because there is risk that it could damage adjacent brain structures. It is good to talk with the physicians about what they think the treatment timeline is for your presentation and why.
