Had urgent surgery in 9/2001 and found these groups a few months later. They were very important for me as I stuggled through my first year with severe double vision, vertigo, anxiety, and panic attacks. Durring the second year things got better for me but I decided to stay with the boards so that I could help other folks who were scared to death, having similar problems to mine, or just needed a group for support. Yes the group sometimes seems negative, but that is because a lot of people drop out when things get better for them. This leaves the main posters being new folks who are scared and those with persistant problems. I have encouraged members to post their successes so that new members can see that there is hope and that most of us get treated. Many of us will probably never be the same as we were before these tumors, but life can still be good! I thank God for my blessings every day. I think of my residual double vision as a reminder of how bad it could have been.
