I think this solves the right problem, and I support it. I see Kelly's on the case about the release notes, we'll see if we can get that resolved quickly. One thing we might consider doing for the future is to tag a package like entire with a release notes attribute that has the pointer so we can make this flexible, but that obviously requires more thought.
