Your rewrite takes into account most comments so far.
I've made a few minor changes:

o Non-redistributable package

A software package that might be freely available for download, but might not be redistributed or otherwise transfered to a third party according to the terms of the
 software license.
In Bart's rewrite, I took perhaps to mean "although" rather than "might".
The two "mights" in the sentence somehow don't sound right.
