this distinction between servers and workstations and desktop machines is
functional and has nothing to do with the distribution in use. albeit some
distributions are geared toward a specific audience of users, all linux
boxes inherently can function as any of the mentioned primary uses. of
course, this will also depend on the hardware in use.
