Hi!
This information is for the benefit of everybody.
Here's the proof why Linux Mandrake is designed for desktop PCs.

The reasons why Mandrake is use mainly for desktop PCs:
1) The target consumers for Linux Mandrake primarily are the Desktop/End
User (E).
2) Also, the StarOffice5.1, WP8, Lotus and games GUI applications are
bundled with it.
I can say really that Linux Mandrake is designed primarily for desktop
PCs. Also, TurboLinux WS is for desktop. While Red Hat 6.0 is mainly
designed for server applications. You can use it too for desktop PCs.
What is Linux?
Linux is a multi-user, multitasking OS that runs on many platforms,
including Intel, Motorola MC68K and DEC Alphas. It implements a superset
of the POSIX standard. Linux interoperates well with other OS, including
Apple, MS and Novell. It supports a wide range of SW, including X Windows,
Emacs, TCP/IP networking (including SLIP/PPP/ISDN), the works. Many people
have executed benchmarks on 80486 Linux systems and found them comparable
with mid-range workstations from Sun and Digital. (Source: LJ)
THEREFORE, you can USE Linux Mandrake too for server applications. It's a
Linux distribution. It's a multi-user and multitasking OS. NICE.
Cheers!:)
