actually we wont add or substract lists. we need to treat one of the causes why a lot of newbie posts are being posted in the main tech list. we already tried posting guidelines, redirecting new users to the newbie list, email footers, and what have you. one cause is that the name "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" is too general and inviting. it gives off a psychological impression that this is the _the_ main support list. unless we can enforce that users wont be able to post unless they have read the guidelines, this will always be a recurring issue. we can reduce the amount of effort spent on redirecting posts (at least from the main tech list) with just a simple rename. sabi nga nila, first impressions count. try to roleplay the part of a new person who just heard about linux and plug. assume what that person will think when his interest is piqued. the tendency is he will ask at the main list because he does not know any better. :) ciao! -- "Programming, an artform that fights back" Anuerin G.
