I am not sure about the accuracy of the info on the other IX but
several mapping software and route collectors shows the following
peers connected at the local IX's.
PHIX and MIX
- Limited number of network prefixes. Might be obsolete.
VIX
- PLDT, Vitro IDC, other telco's
BNGIX
- Mozcom, Bayan, Globe
PHOpenIX
- PREGINET, Globe, Bitstop, IRRI
- 3 major telco with-in the next 6 months, PLDT is not one of them
- Root Server DNS Anycast
- 28 cctld DNS Anycast
- We are working with Google to host their local POP or akamai
like caching
- IPv6 support and transit
So yes, hopefully PH Open IX can do something about our situation. If
anyone is interested on connecting at phopenix, please contact me off-
