IMO, Java is Sun money maker not its hardware products. Perception matters in this market. I have seen a lot of migration (nda here...) from Solaris to Linux or Solaris to AIX. While this is happening AIX introduced Workload Partition or WPAR on AIX 6.0 which is similar to Solaris Zone.
