Marvin is completely right.

The problem, as usual, would be the hardsell to the corp bigwigs.
Doing this requires that the IT guy take some time to do research, and
commit to open source.

But if we can show somehow, or list down at least, the steps necessary
to get a workplace desktop working right, that's one step less for Mr.
IT guy.
