[plug] appending emails in other folders

just wondering, did anybody tried appending the contents of their email
folders to another folder in pine?

because right now I have an archive of my emails and for instance I have a
PLUG email archive until Jan 2000 and another for Jan until July
2000....and I want to merge the two files....any suggestions on how I
could do this?  I know it is possible to save my emails in the other
folder but it would be inefficient and so tedious if I have 3000 emails
for instance that I need to append to another folder that has 3500.

just wondering if there is another way...
