The solutions mentioned are already correct ("cat file1 file2 ... filen >
filenew"), but I just thought I'd mention that I moved to Maildirs
precisely because it was becoming a pain to manage my large mboxes. I
noticed that Maildirs perform much better with high mail volumes, too. :)
