Hmm...i vaguely remember squid providing a facility
to block urls based on keywords -- i.e sex, f$$k, etc.
The catch here is that "legitimate" sites can get
blocked by accident, i.e. www.sextant.org or
something.
Further complicating things are sites that use
names not necessarily related to porn, e.g.
www.zdu.com
The .sex domain thingy would really sound good
right about now B).
btw, fyi lang...i heard of this software that can
actually scan jpegs and other images for porn. i think
the principle is that it looks for patterns in the
image usually associated with porn -- e.g., vast
amounts of, um, flesh colored areas, etc. Can't
remember what that app was though.
Medyo malabo but i guess it is possible to use
this with squid and some crafty scripting for
identifying porn sites.
