There is nothing in the definition of FUD which prevents it from being
truthful.  Quite the contrary, most FUD that I've seen is based on fact.
And most of it comes from the open source community.

Read slashdot some if you believe otherwise.  Microsoft does it
corporately, but the open source community does it as more of a
grass-roots effort.  I can honestly say that FUD is a great marketing
tool.  Just get a collection of CNN articles about the latest Microsoft
vulnerabilities as your arsenal, works well.  Absolutely truthful,
absolute Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.
