I doubt it.

Has anyone tried SAPdb? www.sapdb.org

It's a GPL, enterprise-class RDBMS. You can deploy SAP BASIS on it. There
are over 800 installations worldwide.

However, I don't see a lot of activity. I don't see people deserting MySQL
and PostgreSQL in droves. Understand: this is an ORACLE-CLASS database
system. It's made by SAP AG, the #3 software vendor in the world. Why?

I guess it's because it's not "of the people." Same with Windows. M$ open
sources their code, who would understand it? who would WANT to? granted
open-source Win2K would be very neat, but it wouldn't stop me using Linux.
I guess I'm just hard-headed.

UNIX and Windows are different CULTURES. It's command-line vs point and
drool. You can't even get at most of the Windows settings through the
command line, UNIX Services aka Interix notwithstanding.

I'd rather use OS X.
