that was my previous setup!  with the combination imap-2000c and Qualcom's
qpopper, I can redirect mail to a user's directory but they cannot be
considered as the user's INBOX.

With the combination of imap-4.5-3mdir4.i386 and qpopper, I can still
redirect mails to the user's home directory and have imap recognize it as
the INBOX.  But not pop3.
