Yep. Although there are some network cards that can "detect" whether the other end is an NIC (MDI port) or a hub (MDI-X port). I've seen some computers with these NICs connect and transfer data using an ordinary, straight-through CAT5 UTP cable. -------------------------------------- Gino LV.
