You reminded Metalink of Oracle what a support. I am used to Advantage Passport support of IBM. My experience with Metalink I tell you it was bad, or maybe I was to dumb to asked the right question. Or is there such thing as stupid question in tech support?? I just wondered. I am sure it really depends. Basta ang sabi ko bobo kasi ako. You asked Bobby Reyes on how I faired in his class hehehehee.
Thanks for your advice with Domino but I just went in see Suse OpenExchange web demo. Which gave me an alternative. I have stop updating my Domino to 5.09 but I plan again to install 5.012 or maybe 6.5 kung maganda siya na sabi mo. I have only one application which I am not sure if 6.5 will run it but it just a simple database application.
One of this day I will
Have a great weekend.

no issue in terms of legalities when using oracle on RH 7.3?
why should there be any legalities? RH 7.3 is the free as in community edition of RedHat Linux. therefore, no licenses are necessary.
of course, we pay for the Oracle and IBM software. btw, the IBM and Oracle people i am in contact with are very friendly. they even assisted us in our initial Oracle and IBM deployment when we were still learning. right now, we are pretty confident with our deployment skills.
doesn't FPI has agreements with IBM and Oracle for this? Metalink
techies do answer my questions with regards to installing Oracle 9i on RH 7.3.

pluggers, Aside from RHAS 2.1 what other commercial Linux Distro can Oracle run on. AS 2.1 with premium support cost around $2500 annually. Is there a cheaper alternative to run Oracle.
we run a lot of oracle 9iAS, 9iDB, 11i and others on RedHat 7.3. just need to install the RH compatibility libraries.
btw, RH7.2 (patched) is the functional equivalent of RH AS 2.1.
