MS Terminal Services is different and isn't based from Citrix.

MSTS uses the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) while Citrix uses the
independent Computing Architecture (ICA) protocol. It looks as if MS
is targeting the small/medium companies while Citrix targets
medium/large companies. Maybe they have some agreement between them. dunno.

Have used MSTS on a 56K modem and the speed is astonishingly
acceptable. X/VNC? if you are a masochist, go ahead. :)

As others have noted, i'm excited about freenx (Brave debian users,
stick this to your apt.conf "deb http://www.kalyxo.org/debian/
experimental main" to try it out). Congested link/network
problems/dropped sessions? that's not a problem. you can
attach/reattach existing sessions! plain vanilla vnc/x can't do that.
