The "Error: Select task failed calling" error messages are due to cancelling requests to get audio (10 chunks of 6 secs) when starting a new station while another one is playing.
The "cometd" errors are a problem in your system - looks like a player has been turned off when a plugin is still trying to use it - this may be an artifact of Squeezplay assuming that is the player in question. With only a fragment of a log file it is not possible to say more. Still not provided any detail on your processor and memory. Version of Squeezeplay would also help.
