Michael, just 2 things I noticed when updating the plugin last night.
FYI I'm on 7.9.1, 1495659078

I'd installed the 0.6.0 version if the plugin, worked great. Spotty had
failed just like it did for all librespot users the other day. Haven't
been home much but have been following this thread. Last night after I
got the hellraisers to bed I figured I'd login and update the plugin to
the newest one you'd published. Logged in to LMS and see the message on
the web page saying plugins have been updated and server needs
restart... as expected.
Before restarting the server I decided to give it a try on a Spotify
track and to my surprise it worked! I still restarted the server to
apply the updated plugin but my question is this
Would the issues librespot had from Spotify prevented playing a track or
was it encountered some time after playback started? Is it possible that
the changes that Spotify made were not targeted at librespot users (if
they were reverted)? That would be a big positive sign for us. I'm not
really requesting anything, just wondering if Spotify actually un-f'd
librespot intentionally.

Lastly another strange observation, after the server restart the new
version 0.6.1 of spotty was not started, it still showed up in the
plugins menu of LMS under your repo and started and ran fine after
checking the box and restarting the server again.
