There were no preferences hanging around. It was a completely clean install. There was no problem with iPlayer Extra. It works fine. The only problem was with the iPlayer live streams. As much I could I followed your instructions. The exact preferences you specified did not exist in the drop downs so instead I used the nearest that did exist: Live: DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC On Demand: DASH > MP3 > FlashAAC I increased the 'Seconds to delay Live Stream' from 15 seconds to 1 minute. And it worked like a dream! The live streams take about 6 seconds to startup and then run perfectly.... and sound good too. Thanks very much. I'm so encouraged I might even try updating to 7.9. Is it worth it? Apart from vastly expanded menus is there much for a everyday sort of user?
