In reply to your question. I installed what I thought was the latest nightly over 7.7.5. I didn't like it mainly because of the huge number of new menus in My Music. I tried to revert and all went to pot. So then I did a entirely fresh install of 7.7.5 and set up what I needed again. I've now installed 1.54 (I forgot the 'stable' requirement... too much listening to Theresa May) and Extras 2.00 and.... it's exactly the same! On the Boom and Radios all live streams either don't connect (buffering stops at between 24 and 54%) or take many, many minutes before they'll connect. And then they buffer regularly. Despite there being a 300mm brick wall directly between the Boom and the router the Boom reports a signal of 80% (probably because there's double door sized hole in the wall right next to the Boom, although not line of sight to router). I have reverted to doing what I did before, mapping the BBC live streams from the 'RadioFeeds UK and Ireland' 'app' to the Boom and Radio button and using iPlayer for Listen Again only. Somewhere someone mentions he got the same thing and suspected IPv6. I have no idea if this might be correct or how to test for it. I could be persuaded to download and install 7.9 if I knew if there was a way to get rid of all those extraneous menus. Overall though, my impression was that the thing had just got a bit over the top. Cheers bpa.
