Hi
Thank you for disabusing me of my illusions about being all up to speed
with RAIDiator - that is scary to realise, but thank you for the
warning.

Unfortunately there is no information about IO / Socket / SSL etc with
my 7.9.1 install. Here is the full entry under the 'Information' tab for
my new music server:

I did read the link you kindly sent through to me. It scared and baffled
me in equal measure. I have negligable knowledge of any and all Linux
operating systems, no CLI knowledge (except a little Windows), no tools
for logging in to the Duo's OS or any knowledge of where to find or how
to install them. I am at ground zero with all of this, and more than a
little afraid that if I put a foot wrong I might screw up my system so
it won't play anything anymore. That said, I am, false modesty aside,
smart, and I have a small but successful history of taking on techie
challenges in areas I have no experience of and carefully and
methodically reaching the goal. If I can perhaps find someone who has
trod this same path before - i.e with a Negear Duet V1, then I'm sure I
can solve this bugger too! :)
