Hi Thank you for disabusing me of my illusions about being all up to speed with RAIDiator - that is scary to realise, but thank you for the warning. Unfortunately there is no information about IO / Socket / SSL etc with my 7.9.1 install. Here is the full entry under the 'Information' tab for my new music server: ================================================================== Logitech Media Server Status Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1522157629 @ Fri Mar 30 12:30:30 CEST 2018 Hostname: ReadyNAS-Duo Server IP Address: 192.168.1.10 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: Netgear RAIDiator - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: sparc-linux Perl Version: 5.8.8 - sparc-linux Audio::Scan: 0.93 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) Total Players Recognized: 0 Library Statistics Total Tracks: 6,629 Total Albums: 598 Total Artists: 530 Total Genres: 97 Total Playing Time: 551:03:57 Media Scan Details Discovering files/directories: /Music-Library/FLAC (7470 of 7470) Complete 00:01:17 Scanning new music files: /Music-Library/FLAC (6629 of 6629) Complete 00:19:50 Discovering playlists: /Music-Library/Playlists (3 of 3) Complete 00:00:00 Scanning new playlists: /Music-Library/Playlists (2 of 2) Complete 00:00:03 Building full text index (7 of 7) Complete 00:01:58 Pre-caching Artwork (579 of 579) Complete 00:03:05 Database Optimize (2 of 2) Complete 00:00:56 The server has finished scanning your media library. It scared and baffled me in equal measure. I have negligable knowledge of any and all Linux operating systems, no CLI knowledge (except a little Windows), no tools for logging in to the Duo's OS or any knowledge of where to find or how to install them. I am at ground zero with all of this, and more than a little afraid that if I put a foot wrong I might screw up my system so it won't play anything anymore. That said, I am, false modesty aside, smart, and I have a small but successful history of taking on techie challenges in areas I have no experience of and carefully and methodically reaching the goal. If I can perhaps find someone who has trod this same path before - i.e with a Negear Duet V1, then I'm sure I can solve this bugger too! :) Regards Rocketman -Rocketman, Rocketman2- and now -Rocketman3- too.
