Having looked at some changes I made a couple of days ago, and reversing them, it appears to have been caused by setting up CPU isolation in the pCP Kernel Tweaks. Having removed this the delay has gone away and is back to within a few seconds of FM radio. I don't understand why this should affect it but the problem now seems to be solved.
