I'd set the buffer to 500px - this is the amount of pixels that will be used before & after what is shown, to reduce the blankness. I've no reduced this to 250px - does this help? Also, what are you scrolling, a list, grid? How many columns on the grid? On your pixel, or on a desktop browser? For me (which I know is subjective), on my Nokia 6.1 I perceive no jerkiness (even with the 500px buffer). *Material debug:* 1.
