I have to disagree, MIP works fine and is a fantastic program for re-energising your music collection. I've been running it for years with barely an issue. Further more if I was the developer and you werent going to pay for it then I wouldnt spend time helping you either! :S Any how, in general... If you have installed MusicIP and running the API (if via the GUI check API is ticked and Started) you can bring up a web browser and try a few tests; http://localhost:10002/server You should see information on no. of songs in your collection etc. (Click the reload cache button if its there) http://localhost:10002/api/mix?song=&size=12&sizeType=tracks&content=text This will return a generic playlist for your collection If that doesnt work, then check the port number is correct ie. 10002, check that you dont have some firewall blocking this etc. If that does work, then its the SS side that isnt set up correctly, so make sure you have it selected to USE MUSICMAGIC on the Server Settings page. Then on the Server Settings/MusicMagic page make sure its using the correct port. Full rescan, Job done.. now register it! :) PS Its easy to change the registry so that MusicIP and SS start up in the correct order and then everything just works fine after every restart, solid as a rock! -- cparker ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cparker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39687 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
