OK, you might want to try pre11. It doesn't use the SC7 alarm code
unless your SB is silent when the alarm goes off. And there are more
settings you can change if you're willing to edit the Plugin.pm file
(up next is making these accessible through the web UI). You'll want to
change $fluctuateIfSilent to 0. Available settings:

Code:
--------------------

my $minDuration = 15; # shortest number of SECONDS we allow a timer for
my $twoMinutes = 120; # we push the client back to the countdown mode this
many SECONDS before an alarm
my $volChangeDuration = 2; # how often to change the volume (SECONDS)
my $fluctuateIfSilent = 1; # should the volume fluctuate even if the
player is silent when the alarm sounds (1==yes,0==no)
  my $fluctuatePercent = 66; # how extreme the fluctuation should be, 0-100
my $howLongToKeepAlarmSounding = 120; # how many MINUTES to keep ensuring the
client is playing something

--------------------

$howLongToKeepAlarmSounding is a new enhancement -- it allows you to
configure KT, unlike the SC7 alarm, to keep ensuring that your SB is
playing something for at least X minutes after the alarm sounds.
Setting this > 0 means you're less likely to miss an alarm because the
alarm sounded soon before your playlist ended. Set it reasonably low
and your neighbors won't freak out if an alarm sounds after you've left
for the weekend. :-)
