Right. Normally the OS should not try to sleep if the net is active...
but I've already seen this scenario.
Sorry my windows days are so far (and won't come back)... 
No sure all this is doable easily under linux (or BSD), as well.

I believe we're seeing 3 use cases: NAS/always-on = no need for RTC
wake + switch to SN; SC-dedicated server = the whole current enchilada;
non-dedicated machine = need to add an extra layer close to the OS to
negociate with the plugin.

Gordon, do you agree, to what extent, to this ?
