I thought about this a little more and wonder if the output of sensors-applet could be ported to the display.
If sensors-applet is installed and added to the Ubuntu panel (Add to panel/Hardware Sensors Monitor) then the preferences pane of this applet allows selection of those functions required to be displayed in the Ubuntu panel (and exclusion of those not required). If the output from this applet could be ported this could be done on an individual choice basis. My Tranquil Atom PC uses a passive cooling system and seems to run it's CPU between 60 - 65 Celsius by default - a little scary when your used to 45 - 50 Celsius on a standard desktop but seems to be OK for the Tranquil. Personally the ones I'm interested in are all temperature related but this may not be the case for everyone: CPU Temp (Sometimes Core Temp) Motherboard Temp (Sometimes Sys Temp) HD Temp These seem to have differing names on different MB's. I saw that Michael Herger had a plug-in for this but it is no longer supported and I couldn't get it to install in 7.3.2. -- ian_heys ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
