In other words - rather than sending the packet to the iTach from the Controller, I'm interested in seeing it sent from a plugin on the server itself whenever a "Play" command is sent to the server. This is because there are quite a few ipad/ipod apps that interface with Squeezebox but that lack the ability to control a receiver (I'm particularly interested in using SqueezePad). I had asked in this thread since you seem to have done the legwork to control a receiver with IR from the Controller and it looks, as you say, like the hard part is done there. If you send the commands from the server it should work when the server receives the Play (or other) commands from the Controller as well as from, say, the HTTP API that something like SqueezePad uses. Then any type of control application/device could take advantage of the IR setup if they have an iTach. Seems wordy, hope I was clear?
