Urgh. I think don't know enough about how the conversion settings work, so far I thought bitrate limiting always enforces encoding to mp3.
You did not say what exactly is going wrong, BTW. Interesting snippet about the transcoding breaking gapless, I'm also seeing that it's difficult to make gapless mp3 work at all and we were wondering whether that's at all possible, seeing the same results on SBs and iPeng but others seem to have less of an issue. I thought I do have at and I do have at least one album for which it works perfectly but that turned out to be AAC :) The problem is: I don't have any "professionally" encoded gapless albums in mp3, all the ones I have are self-encoded and so it could be just my encoding which breaks the gapless playback.
