I'm using iPeng 2.0.16 on iOs 6, to control LMS 7.7.2-007 on Synology NAS DSM 4.2-3243. I use an iPhone as an iPeng remote control for an iPod sitting in a dock.
Pressing Pause pauses playback but after approx 120 seconds Pause comes off and the music resumes playing. This happens when playing music files off the server and when streaming radio stations. It does the same whether Pause is activated at the remote control iDevice or at the one that's doing the streaming. I don't think this used to happen with earlier releases, it's a relatively recent phenomenon. Is there a timeout setting somewhere for this, in iPeng or LMS? My other question is: have there been requests before for Volume + & - buttons on the Now Playing screen, like in the Logitech Squeezebox Controller? I would love to have these, having volume tied to the buttons on the side of the device is handy now and then but there are plenty of times, like with the iPhone on a table or desk when +/- buttons would be much more useful than having to pick the phone up, or mess with the slider. I would like these buttons to be big! The law with media players seems to be that displaying the artwork is all important so it gets most of the screen, I could care less most of the time about having a big image of the album cover, but having big buttons to press never gets old. On a similar subject, it would be nice to have a setting for how many volume steps a single button press causes, rather than the standard 5.
