Hi Many thanks for your excellent distro "Max2Play for the 7″ Touch Display for Raspberry Pi"
I have installed this on a Raspberry Pi 2 with:- IQAudio Dac+ 256Gbyte USB stick (readonly) FLIRC remote, (using my old Squeezeplayer classic remote) ATXRaspi power controller and push button switch. All mounted in or on a plastic project box mounted on the back of the Pi official display. I cut the bottom of the box to allow the pi display control pcb, raspberry pi and film cables etc to mount as normal. on the rear, ( the lid) I have mounted an ethernet socket, 5v power socket, and two pairs of audio out sockets, one for main amp the other for headphone amp. On the top is the FLIRC socket and the power pushbutton. I have drilled some holes in top and bottom of the enclosure to allow ventilation. I made a 3mm aluminium U bracket to allow the tft to be rotated as the viewing angle is quite small, and the unit normall lives on a low cabinet, Without the tilt, one has to lie on the floor to see the display at it's best. The bracket also lifts the tft lower side of the enclosure of the cabinet to allow air to enter the lower vent holes. Everything is working well, no problems at all. The only downside is the case and display finger mark very easily, and the plastic enclosure is very soft and very easy to scratch when cutting it. I have attached some pictures of the player regards Patrick +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: player4.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19574| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ superpat999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9340 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
