At a guess no output is ocming from wavinput. The default setup for wavinput plugin custom-convertt,conf file is to take 44.1kHz 2ch 16bit le PCM stream. A PCM stream is a stream of bits with no indication of format so a format has to be picked beforehand. You are sending a 1 ch stream so I suspect the arecord fails to start becuaswe there is a mismatch. You would get a similar probelm if the stream was 48Khz or 24bit. I am not familiar with the loopback audio devices you are using but because it is a "hw" I suspect the ALSA conversion capabilities are disabled/not active. I think you need to either make sure you stream is converted to 44.1Khz, 2 ch, 16bit le before sending to loopback device or else figure out how to get ALSA to do the conversion.
