 Lani watched Derek and Rachel leave passively. It was none of her
business. She wasn't one to pry, but she decided to find out just a little
more of Danae's situation. Lani had picked up that something had brought her
here, the question was what. All she need to know was the basics, then she
could go from there. She certainly didn't want to stay in the kitchen much
longer. There were things that she needed to know so she could put the
knowledge in an orderlly fashion. Knowledge is power. She drank some of her
coffee and turned casually to Danae. "What brings you to the house? Just
spending some time with Kat here?" she asked simply, suddenly feeling a
little nauseated.
