Derek:
Derek took a slow deep breath when he felt Julia's hand on his arm, he was
trying to keep his word, but it was damned hard. Keeping his tone even, he
said, "No, you probably couldn't have found that information elsewhere, but
you could have found more than enough for an adequate background check. I
understand you're concern for your friend, but I do not understand why you
mainstream informatin was not enough." Julia hadn't mentioned that they'd
been in his personal file as well. He liked that even less than what he'd
heard already, though he was glad they hadn't read teh whole thing. He
allowed Julia to talk about the computer equipment, she knew more about the
bloody things anyway and not speaking at the moment was perhaps the best way
to go. His jaw tightened visible when she mentioned them coming back to the
house. He looked up at Milo then, "I suppose Marissa should see where her
father will be living," he said finally.
