Samantha sighed and managed to flutter her eyelashes as she did so., eyes
still solely on Derek. "I TRIED to tell them they shouldn't be doing that,
but would they listen?" She just shook her head helplessly. She was a
little startled by Julia's comment about her relationship with Reese and she
did spare the woman a fleeting glance of curiosity. "Yes, she is my best
friend," she said absently.

"Are the other two here," Derek inquired.

Sam thought she could just stand there listening to him talk all day, the
picture hadn't said anything about the accent that went along with it.
Though, she couldn't place it, other than European. "Yes, they are, just
this way," she opened the door wider so they could enter and guided Derek
towards the living room. She motioned for him to sit, giving Julia a vague
wave of the hand towards a chair. Then took a seat opposite Derek crossing
her legs eloquently. "You guys have company," she told Claire and Brady.

Derek noticed all the attention he was getting and couldn't help but feel a
little uncomfortable, with the way the girl was looking at him and with how
close she had stayed to him as they walked the short distance.

Julia had followed the two, fighting hard not to burst out laughing and to
swallow the comment just dying to be made. Sam had waved her toward a
chair, she noticed, was set apart from the other two that Sam directed Derek
to and took for herself.

But, Julia being Julia and with a nonchalant air that was all innocence -
except for those that knew her well, she actually sat on the arm of the
chair Derek was on and patted him on the shoulder with blue eyes filled with
barely surprised laughter before blinking and hiding the reaction to turn to
the others and the two that came in just then.

Julia looked at the first two and nodded to each, greeting them "Claire,
Brady." Then the second pair that came out of the kitchen, smiling brightly
at the man "Reese... Milo! Derek told me you were in town. How are doing?"
