Derek:
Derek raised his eyebrows at her curiously when she mentioned being able to
forge is signature. "Well you have to tell me thse things in order for that
to work out," he said mildly. He did actually prefer to sign things
himself, he just didn't like taking the time to do it. In the grand scheme
of things it seemed so insignificant. He kissed his sister good morning
when she opened the door. "I'm sorry we startled you." Then he took a seat
in a chair next to Julia and waited.

Kat:
Kat rolled over drowsily and focused her eyes on Ingrid. It ook a minute
for what she said to register in the little girl's mind. "Do they look
mad," she asked curiously. She still fully expected to get yelled at for
what happened the night before and so far no one had said a word to her
about it. It had been her experience that when grownups make you wait it is
really bad!
