"I'm not sure if we'll have time to meet you for lunch or not," Derek
admitted. "We can plan on it and I'll leave a message for you if we can't
make it."

Julia tapped Kat on the chin gently, reading her expression "We just found
out about her not feeling well ourselves. Enjoy the zoo and we'll catch up
if we're able to but we're bringing your mom back, okay?"
She let Kat down with a half grin "But right now you should get changed and
get something to eat."
And they, Derek and herself, needed to get going so they could get to
Rachel's.
Julia met Kat's gaze tone quiet "It'll be okay. I'll keep in touch with
Ingrid to let you know if anything comes up."
"As for what happened with you yesterday," she added, just as quiet "We'll
talk about it when I get back. You just go with Ingrid and try to have a
good time."
Ingrid listened to Julia and saw Kat's face and then turned to Derek and
smiled slightly "Just let us know. You two be careful too. If you need
help with Rachel let me know, all right?"
