"It's more than a legend." Claire assured her solemnly "There was writing on
the wall, literally, telling about this artifact and the curse that goes
with it."
She then looked at the door and then back at Kristen "He... he went to go
see the body."
"Our friend was killed right after he sent this to us. The local
authorities have been trying to cover it up but the body... we got word that
there wasn't any blood left in the body when it was found. He's sneaking in
to the morgue to find out."
NM:
Kristen looked back to Claire. "I'm sorry about your friend," she said.
Trying not to look back at the table she continued, "How long has Brady been
gone? If you're right and the guy who killed your friend has already
tracked you two here, it probably won't take him too long to find the
motel..." she trailed off, remembering close 'escapes' in the past and
hoping that this wouldn't be one of them. She also wanted to decipher that
inscription, but figured she'd need the help of the Legacy's computers; not
to mention letting people back home know that Claire and Brody were all
right. So far.
