Derek:
It seemed like hours before Derek arrived at Kat's school. Though it was
less than 15 minutes. It was a miracle he'd made it all that way without
being stopped by the police for speeding. He parked the car in the lot and
jumped out looking around frantically for a sign of Julia or Alex. He
spotted the car first and then finally, in the midst of the crowd he saw
them both. Derek rushed over and elbowed his way through the crowd and even
past a few policeman until he emerged at Julia's side. "Excuse me, I'm
Derek Rayne...Katheine's guardian."
