"You have a dress," Derek asked in surprised. After all they had only been
engaged a couple of hours. How in the world did that happen?

As the ferry docked, Derek turned on the SUV and drove as as direct. He
headed downtown and parked in a lot near city hall and quite a bit of
shopping.

Taking Julia's hand he headed for City Hall and ask the woman at the front
desk about marriage liscences. They were directed to the thir floor where
paperwork was required and then Derek was told to wait while they made
arrangements with the health department for his blood test.

Once they were ready he was told to go to the first floor. Derek took
Julia's hand and walked down with her. "Where should we meet? Do you want
me to call you when I'm ready and just meet back at the parking lot or I can
come pick you up."
