"We are," Kat asked utterly dumbfounded now.  She had some knowledge of
where babies came from and somehow this did not seem right.

"Neat," she said slowly.  "Like a real baby right?  Not a puppy or
something?"

"A real baby." Julia confirmed before adding "We're supposed to go to the
doctor soon.  If we get a picture of it I'll let you see it.. if it's okay
with your mom that is."

She looked at Rachel who nodded.  She had had a kind of introductory talk
with Kat but this looked like the perfect opportunity to have more of one
and she knew her daughter would be curious "Sounds like a plan.  What do you
say, kiddo?"
