Derek slipped his other arm around her as well and held her tightly. "Are you going to be all right?"
He really wanted to ask if they were going to be all right. Right now, the only guilt he felt was with regard to any strain this was putting on their marriage. "I'm scared." Julia murmured, hugging his arms, looking out over the water "I'm scared that you're going to look at me and instead of feeling free.. feeling the love we have... that I'm going to look into your eyes and start seeing guilt." She shivered a little, her voice an almost whisper "I never told Nick I loved him. But when he saw how much I loved you... he didn't get angry. He didn't set out to hurt us. "He gave us his blessing, Derek. And because of that, because we both know we didn't hurt him... we've been able to love each other like we have. And now someone has decided they want to hurt us, and you feel guilty. How long before I see it in your eyes?" She closed her eyes and leaned into his arm and whispering "I can't bare the thought of you not being in my life like this, Derek, before the guilt.
