One more thing I can suggest to avoide manually playing with registry: I will extract the code from pproconf that sets the registry keys for pproctx.dll into a standalone exe. I can also add some code to dynamically load pproctx.dll and make sure dllgetclassobject can be accessed. Would you be willing to build this as a 64 bit exe and use to to ensure right registry keys are set?
